Kanguruh (Kangaroo) Ravensburg Games No. 601 5 415 5 (C.1974)A fast paced competitive game in which players try to win a limited number of prize-cards of different values by completing a lap around a circular track of 21 steps. With each move the players must decide if they will throw 1, 2, or 3 dice (6-sided) to determine how many steps they can advance in the lap. The total number of points thrown must not exceed 7 or you will be required to remove your piece (disk) and start your lap over from the beginning. The total number of dice thrown to achieve the 7 or less total will multiply the total of points thrown. Thus a roll of 1, then 3, then 2, is totaled at 6 multiplied by three, (the number of dice rolled) equaling 18. As would roll of 2, and then 5 equals 14.Any additional movement points earned in this manner beyond the 21-step lap will count toward another lap. This will be used in the strategy of 'Carrying'. If a piece (disk) lands on a space occupied by another, the newcomer is stacked on top. This means that the bottom disc (piece) move both players pieces around the track on his next move! Also, the owner of the top disk can tell the other lower disk's owner how many dice they will throw to determine their movement points. And as stated above both disks now risk removal if the total is more than 7 in the dice roll combinations.Occasionally 3, 4, or more disks are piled up. The owner of the top disk has the right to tell all others below them how many dice to use in obtaining movement points. The bottom disk carries all stacked above on their turn. As does a middle disk only carries those on top of him if it is his turn leaving the lower disk(s) behind, possibly creating a new top disk situation in the split. But, of course, the new top disks always determines the number of dice thrown owner on all bottom disks turns in movement.Players win a prize card for each completion of the 21-step lap. Only a singular disk or TOP disk in a 'carry' earns the prize. Prize cards are valued 1 to 7 in 21 total cards. The game ends when all 21 cards are won. The person with the highest number of prize points collected is the winner. Only one prize card is revealed per lap completed (the passing of a red spot signifying a home space). - BoardGameGeek
