  • Description
A traditional Japanese card game played with the beautiful but confusing Hanafuda deck. The players play cards to a talon of sorts in the middle of the table, cards being added by random draw from the deck and by play of matching cards from their hands. Pairs (and larger groups) can then be taken to aid in the building of a complicated group of sets called a yaku, and the player elects to call an end to the hand rather than try to improve his score further, which, of course, offers the opponent time to improve his score, too.Players score based on the yaku's they can form by the end of the hand. The game ends when one player reaches 50 points. - BoardGameGeek
