Parques

  • Description
Los Parques is a game of Spanish (or possibly just Hispanic) origin, which is similar to Sorry. You have 2 dice, and you must roll doubles to get 2 of your 4 pieces out of jail, where you start. (Snake eyes and boxcars get all 4 of your pieces out) You must maneuver your pieces into safe zones otherwise they can be captured by an enemy and sent back to jail, where they can only come out on a double roll. The goal is to get all 4 pieces to the goal at the end. This goal is similar to Sorry, as I said. The fun thing is, you can move one piece on one die, and another on another. Say, you roll a 3 and a 5. You can move one piece 3 and another 5. I have not seen Los Parques (meaning 'The Parks' in Spanish) on American shelves, but my Colombian stepbrother says it is very popular in Colombia. - BoardGameGeek
